Yang Drops Music Video, Delivers Speech on His Vision for NYC, Meets Voters at Yanks Home Opener

New York, NY—Spring has sprung early and the mood is clear: New Yorkers are ready for the city to be safely full of energy again. Only one campaign is everywhere with a message of hope and optimism -- and that’s Andrew Yang’s.

For a taste of the frenetic energy that Andrew is bringing to this campaign and to his mayoralty, check out what Andrew did today alone. He:

Released a music video with MC Jin as a token of his appreciation to our campaign’s nearly 5,000 volunteers;
Delivered a speech to ABNY, a prominent business organization, to share his vision and plans as mayor; and
Headed to Yankee Stadium to welcome voters not just back to the game, but to a way of life. (On deck for next week: the Mets home opener!)

Thanks to the idea and creativity of NYC rapper MC Jin, Andrew Yang released a music video as a way to show his gratitude to Yang for NY’s nearly 5,000 volunteers. You can read his full letter to volunteers here. The music video is also intended to show solidarity with the Asian community during a traumatic moment in NYC and across the country.

ABNY speech: jobs, jobs, jobs

Before heading to the Yankees game, Andrew spoke to ABNY about how he plans on getting NYC’s economy back up and running. Unlike the other candidates who delivered their earlier remarks sitting from their living rooms, Andrew delivered the speech from an empty office building, showing why we need folks back at work. He also stressed his administration will be a break from the past and that he is willing to take on difficult issues to serve the interests of New Yorkers.
